Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits, do comparable things. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
We use them to make the site work, to remember your basket and preferences, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
-
We use cookies in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation.
Some cookies require your consent before we set them. Others do not, either because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for, or because they fall within the statistical or appearance exceptions introduced in February 2026. Where we rely on those exceptions, you can still object. See "Your choices" below.

2. Analytics cookies
We use analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and where visitors struggle, so we can improve the site.
We use two analytics tools, and they are treated differently under the rules.
Squarespace Analytics. Built into our website platform, used for the sole purpose of collecting statistics about how this site is used so we can improve it. Not used for advertising, not combined with data from other websites, not shared with advertisers. We rely on the statistical purposes exception under PECR, so we do not ask for consent, but you may object at any time using the link in "Your choices" below.
Google Analytics. Used to understand our audience in more detail. Because this can involve data being used for advertising and audience-building purposes, we set Google Analytics cookies only with your consent. You can accept or reject them in our cookie banner and change your mind at any time.
ss_* (Squarespace) Aggregate site statistics. Consent not required, but you may object.
ga, gid, ga* (Google) Audience and behaviour analytics. Consent required.

If you consent, we set the following so we can measure whether our advertising works and reach people likely to be interested in what we make:
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Cookies: _fbp, fr Measures whether our ads lead to visits and purchases, and builds advertising audiences. For more detail, see Meta's own
These cookies share information with Meta, who may use it for their own purposes including their own advertising business. We do not set them unless you agree and rejecting them does not affect your ability to browse or buy from us.
3b. Live chat, marketing and reviews (consent required)
Live chat Remembers your conversation so you don't have to repeat yourself, and tells us whether you are a returning visitor. Consent required. Chat will not load until you agree.
Email marketing Recognises you when you arrive from one of our emails, so we can tell which messages are useful. Consent required.
Reviews Displays customer reviews and records which you have already seen. Consent required.
-
Some of our pages include videos from YouTube and music players from third-party services. These providers may set cookies when you play the content.
We embed YouTube videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which limits the information YouTube receives until you choose to play a video. Even so, playing a video may result in YouTube setting cookies on your device, governed by Google's own privacy policy rather than this one.

This website is designed for parents, carers, educators and other adults buying our products. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Parts of our site, our character pages, free activity sheets and story content, may be looked at by children alongside an adult. We take that seriously. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies to build audiences or target advertising based on the behaviour of anyone we believe to be a child, and we do not use personal information to profile children or serve them personalised advertising.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@boldkidswear.co.uk and we will delete it.

Our cookie banner. When you first visit, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time via [link, "Cookie settings" in the footer].
Objecting to analytics. Where we rely on the statistical purposes exception rather than consent, you can still object.
Your browser. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies. This may stop parts of our site working, including the basket and checkout. See aboutcookies.org for instructions.
Global Privacy Control. We respect browser-level opt-out signals where your browser sends them.
Your rights
Where cookies collect personal information, you have rights under the UK GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
We will update this policy when our cookie use changes or the law does. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
